Sustainable Gardening; Establishment of Seedling Nursery

Part of the ADJV initiative is to promote sustainability and to encourage employees embrace zero waste lifestyle. One way to walk in the zero waste lifestyle is to grow your own food in a backyard garden. Composting is being introduced in the employees living inside the campsite and the compost produced were being used in the garden established at the back of the camp site were employees can harvest vegetables whenever they need. The environmental team assist those workers who want to start their vegetable gardens by providing them with seedlings from the nursery. These seedlings were also donated in the school gardens (Sto. Nino elementary school and Dr. Emigdio Elementary School) to help them establish their backyard gardening and to raise awareness that planting your own food helps reduce the demand from the industries and will tend to consume less natural resources.
