Sustainable Gardening; Establishment of Seedling Nursery
Sustainable Gardening; Establishment of Seedling Nursery
ADJV aims to promote sustainability and highlight the importance of planting crops which reduces the demand for industry and lessens their consumption of natural resources. The seedling nursery was established to spearhead the widespread gardening in the camp site and vacant spaces of the Project Site Office and PCY vicinity. The Environmental Management Unit (EMU) procures seeds of a variety of vegetables and fruits using the funds from the collected plastic bottles of the “Shoot the Bottle” program. Seedlings are distributed to employees who want to start their own garden at their lots / planting spaces. The objective is to showcase that planting your own food is a step towards “Zero Waste Lifestyle” and will be counted as an effort to fight against climate change and global warming.
