The Malolos – Clark Railway Project (MCRP) is the second section of the Philippine Government’s new railway linking Tutuban in Manila with the International Airport at Clark City Pampanga. CP N-02 consists of the Civil Engineering and Building works for 15.5 km of precast segmental box girder bridge, one extradosed bridge (80m + 140m + 80m), three balanced cantilever bridges (2nos 50m + 70m + 50m and 1no 60m + 100m + 60m), one steel bridge (60m length) and approximately 350m of cast in-situ bridges. The elevated station is situated at the city of San Fernando.

After the completion of the steel box girder installation on top of Old San Fernando station the works continues with the preparation for the casting of the concrete slab.
December-2024 CP N-02: BR110 San Fernando

Erection a continuous assembly of the LG2, in San Fernando Station. The second for the total of four Launching Gantries fabricated by ADJV for the erection of the 6182 segments that completes the PSM bridge in the project.

The erection of the Steel Box Girder for the 60 m span bridge that will jump on top of the Old San Fernando Station, completed last Friday 13th Dec using 2 crawler cranes of 300 and 600 tons. This operation took approximately 4 hours as the preparation, the trial test and the positioning of the viaduct took place on a heavy congested area around San Fernando station, installing the full piece of the bridge, including bearings in one only step.

The casting sequence for the first Cast-in-Situ (CIS) Bridge in the project has been completed, following a three-step process. CIS 50-9 is a tri-cellular concrete box girder with a full span of 40 meters, designed to accommodate the train line’s central main track and two lateral loops surrounding the platforms at San Fernando Station. The concrete section was cast on a fully supported shoring system. Following this, the process will proceed with the tensioning of the tendons within the concrete section.

North-South Commuter Railway Extension (NSCR-EX) Project
The second balance cantilever bridge of the project (BR116) already has the full set composed by 4 form travelers installed up on top of both main piers and starts the cycle of casting of 1 cantilever segment per week.

North-South Commuter Railway Extension (NSCR-EX) Project
The steel box girder to be placed on top of the Old San Fernando Station, is nearly completely assembled while more than 7.000 bolts are being tightened on the connections of the 11 segments that composes the bridge.
