HIV Awareness Campaign - Take the Rights Path: My Health, My Right

ADJV in partnership with Bale Angeleno, held an HIV Awareness Campaign last 12 December 2024. The campaign includes Free and confidential HIV screening, HIV/AIDS Education, HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis lecture and Counselling. A total of 215 project employees and site workers of CP-N02 participated in the activities. This campaign is a significant step towards the goal of eradicating the stigma and discrimination associated with HIV. By raising awareness and education, a more inclusive and supportive environment for all is being fostered.

What Is HIV? HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) is a virus that attacks cells that help the body fight infection, making a person more vulnerable to other infections and diseases. It is spread by contact with certain bodily fluids of a person with HIV, most commonly during unprotected sex (sex without a condom or HIV medicine to prevent or treat HIV), or through sharing injection drug equipment. If left untreated, HIV can lead to the disease AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome).
